Goats Win Arena League Title

The St. Joseph Goats completed an incredible season in the third-year history winning The Arena League (TAL) title 52-30 over the Arkansas Diamonds.

A dominant showing for the Goats was iced by quarterback Angelo Trujillo. With two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, the Goats led 46-30, looking to make it a three-score game and put it out of reach. Trujillo looked up the right sideline and fired a pass to receiver Ryan Martinez, who was sent on a go route, for a touchdown to seal the win.

The Goats finished the season 8-2 and pulled off dramatic postseason road upsets including a thrilling 66-58 victory over the previously undefeated Nebraska Siege to earn their spot in the finals.

The Goats were originally founded in 2023 as the Kansas City Goats but relocated to St. Joseph in 2024.
