Vixen spoils Passion for league title
The Minnesota Vixe defeated the Pittsburgh Passion 42-14 in the national championship game of the Women's Football Alliance (WFA). It was their first title in team history. The Vixens are the oldest women's professional tackle football team and now they can finally call themselves champions. They had lost four previous championship games much like the Minnesota Vikings in the National Football League (NFL).
The game was played in Canton, Ohio and was televised on ESPN2.
The Vixen defense forced five turnovers, including two interceptions by linebacker Paige Condie on the same drive. Condie ran one back 50 yards for a touchdown, helping secure the win.
