Major League Pickleball 2026 Season

Major League Pickleball
Major League Pickleball (MLP) has served up its 2026 recently with 20 teams participating in various events. The season opened Memorial Day Weekend with the league's first event in Dallas, Texas. The Los Angeles Mad Drops won the event for first place in the league standings.

Joining Los Angeles this season are: Columbus Sliders, St. Louis Shock, New Jersey 5s, Dallas Flash, Texas Ranchers, Orlando Squeeze, Utah Black Diamonds, Bay Area Breakers, Phoenix Flames, Carolina Hogs, Atlanta Bouncers, Brooklyn Pickleball Team, California Black Bears, Chicago Slice, Florida Smash, Las Vegas Night Owls, Miami Pickleball Club, Palm Beach Royals and SoCal Hard Eights.

Columbus won the league title last season.

Teams will play throughout the summer with the playoffs being in Dallas and Newport Beach on the weekends of August 7-9 and August 14-16 and the finals played in New York August 28-30.

The MLP format runs across a four-day weekend (Thursday through Sunday) for each regular-season event. It is split into two distinct phases: a three-day group stage and a single decisive Super Sunday. At every event, 10 to 11 teams are divided into two pools, Group A and Group B, with five or six teams per group. This separation is the foundation of the entire MLP competition structure. The group draws are announced before each event, so fans can track seeding races in real time.

Top players to watch in Major League Pickleball for the 2026 season include superstars like Anna Leigh Waters and Jorja Johnson on the New Jersey 5s, along with JW Johnson (Dallas Flash) and Ben Johns (Los Angeles).

Other players to watch:
  • Jack Sock (Orlando Squeeze): Transitioned from professional tennis and has vastly improved his doubles game, making him one of the most intriguing and dangerous players on the tour.
  • Will MacKinnon: Widely predicted to be a major breakout star for the season if he maintains a high-volume event schedule.
  • Chris Haworth: Dominates on the men's side as a top-tier singles specialist, providing massive value during team DreamBreakers.
  • Kiora Kunimoto (California Black Bears): Showing incredible upward trajectory in both singles and doubles rankings.
