New Women's Softball League to Play in June
A new professional women's softball league called the Professional Softball League (PSL) is set to start this summer with seven teams.
The new league will feature the following teams:
- Atlanta Smoke
- Chattanooga Chill
- Florida Breeze (Tampa)
- Florida Heat (Viera)
- Florida Vibe (Bradenton)
- KC Diamonds
- New York Rise
The league's first season will be broadcast exclusively on the All Women's Sports Network (AWSN) which will feature the PSL on Amazon Prime, Pluto TV and DirectTV.
The PSL will also be in direction competition with the Athlete's Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) which has started their second season with six teams. Although the AUSL and PSL opens up more opportunities for women's fast pitch softball, it would be better if the two leagues worked together and put together a solid league.
