Professional Indoor Lacrosse League Season Begins
The National Lacrosse League (NLL) is back for their 2025-2026 as 13 teams will try to dethrone the three-time champion Buffalo Bandits. The league will have the same 14 teams from last season with the Albany FireWolves relocating to Oshawa, Ontario during the off-season.
The NLL ranks third in average attendance for professional Indoor sports worldwide, behind the National Hockey League (NHL) and National Basketball Association (NBA). The NLL has averaged between 8,900-10,700 spectators per game each year since 2004.

- Georgia Swarm
- Halifax Thunderbirds
- Las Vegas Desert Dogs
- Oshawa FireWolves
- Ottawa Black Bears
- Philadelphia Wings
- Rochester Knighthawks
- San Diego Seals
- Saskatchewan Rush
- Toronto Rock
- Vancouver Warriors
Each team will play 18 games with the season ending in the spring.
The league barely avoided a strike with the NLL and Player's Association reaching an agreement on October 20th which extends through the 2029-2030 season.
