Vegas defeats Green Bay for Title
The Indoor Football League Championship Game in Tucson, Arizona was a thriller as the Vegas Knight Hawks denied the Green Bay Blizzard in the closing seconds to win the Indoor Football League (IFL) title 64-61.
With a game featuring a lot of offense, it was a defensive stand that won the game. Green Bay had a chance to score a game-winning touchdown with five seconds to play. The Blizzard ran a 'tush push' play two inches from the goal line, but the Knight Hawks' defense kept league MVP Max Meylor out of the end zone.
Vegas quarterback Jayden De Laura was named IFL Championship Game MVP after throwing for a touchdown and rushing for two more.
This was the fourth season for Vegas in the IFL. They were 11-5 in 2024 losing in the first round to the Arizona Rattlers 39-38.
