Pepper Pong: Pickleball's Smaller Cousin

Pickleball Indoors? That's What Pepper Pong Says It Is - but Is It? - The Manual

I was introduced to the game of "ping pong" at church summer camp many years ago.  I was never any good at it but now we have the opportunity to play anywhere with "Pepper Pong".

Pepper Pong is a hybrid of ping pong which was created by Tom Filippini and was featured on Shark Tank. Tom's pitch on "Shark Tank" attracted an investment from Todd Graves, co-founder and co-CEO of Raising Cane's.

So what's the difference between the pongs?

Pepper Pong is a game that combines elements of table tennis (ping pong) and pickleball. It's a portable paddle sport designed to be played anywhere. The game uses "mullet" paddles (combining ping pong base with a pickleball-style paddle) and foam balls called "peppers".

The game is a fast-paced, social game that combines elements of ping pong and pickleball. It is played on any flat surface with a foldable net, foam-coated paddles, and three types of "pepper" balls with varying bounce. The goal is to hit the ball back and forth until it bounces twice on the same side of the table or goes off the table entirely, with points awarded after each rally
