New Indoor Football to Entertain Fans This Summer

A new indoor football league plans to enter the competition with four teams to start this summer in the  Entertainment Football Association (ENTFLA).  All four teams are located in the Northeastern United States.  The inaugural teams are the Danbury Diesel (CT), Fitchburg Heroes (MA),  New Jersey Ciphers and Long Island (team name to be determined).

The ENTFLA will launch a very unique professional football and entrainment series in each community in which the league plays starting in late May of 2025. Each team will host four games in addition to traveling for four additional contests. The regular season will be rounded out with a ninth game being played between two ENTFLA teams in a neutral site identified for its potential to serve as a future expansion community. Two rounds of playoffs will follow in early August after the regular season concludes in late July. The league will retain central ownership of all teams.

Former All-Pro Buffalo Bills receiver, Andre Reed, is the commissioner of the new league.

The league’s fast-paced 7-on-7 format is designed to keep fans engaged, with a reduced play clock, no huddles, and the elimination of kicking -- forcing teams to attempt fourth-down conversions and two-point plays. ENTFLA aims to showcase high-caliber talent, including former Division I and III college players, some with professional experience, who are looking to extend their careers and gain exposure to higher leagues such as the CFL, UFL and NFL.

Beyond football, ENTFLA promises an immersive entertainment experience. Fans can expect pre-game tailgating, thrilling halftime performances, post-game autograph sessions on the field and nationally recognized musical acts performing after each game.
