Floorball League Plays in Clarksville, Tennessee

The North American Floorball League (NAFL) completed its tour stop in Clarksville, Tennessee this weekend.  Clarksville's new F&M Bank Arena - which is approximately an hour north of Nashville - was host to the league's tour stop as the league's six teams played.  The Fresno Force swept their opponents this week going 4-0.  Fort Worth and Minnesota finished 3-1 over the weekend.  The Force remain on top of the league standings at 6-1 going into the final tour stop this weekend in Duluth, Minnesota.  Billy Nilsson (Fresno) leads the league in scoring with 12 goals and 21 assists.

Weekend Results:
Thursday, July 18
Fort Worth 10, Minnesota 3
Fresno 12, Seattle 7
Texas 5, Ohio 3
Friday, July 19
Fresno 7, Fort Worth 1
Ohio 9, Seattle 3
Minnesota 6, Texas 4
Saturday, July 20
Minnesota 14, Seattle 6
Fresno 7, Ohio 2
Ft. Worth 6, Texas 5
Sunday, July 21
Fort Worth 8, Seattle 4
Fresno 10, Texas 4
Minnesota 9, Ohio 4

There were just a handful of fans in attendance in the new F&M Bank Arena.  I did not find any press coverage of the event and the weekend games weren't even advertised on the arena's website.  The league did televise games on their YouTube channel and posted results on their Facebook page.  The league needs to do a better job in promoting the events if they want to grow the sport into other markets.
