Omaha Supernovas Win Volleyball Title


The first Preimer Volleyball Federation (PVF) title belongs to the Omaha Supernovas after they swept the Grand Rapids Rise 25-13, 26-24, 25-22 at the CHI Health Center. Sydney Hilley was awarded the finals Most Valuable Player. Hilley finished with 40 assists and a block after recording 46 assists and 19 digs in the semifinals.

Omaha finished second in the regular season standings at 18-8 then rallied from 2-0 deficit in the semifinals to defeat the San Diego Mojo in five sets 20-25, 16-25, 25-18, 25-8, 15-11. The Grand Rapids Rise upset the top-seeded Atlanta Vibe 25-20, 19-25, 25-20, 23-25, 15-8 to advance to the PVF final.

Omaha dominated the league in attendance, averaging 9,656 per game. The Columbus Fury was a distant second with 4,518 per game.

Leah Edmond of the Atlanta Vibe was the league's Most Valuable Player.

The PVF is planning to add teams in Dallas, Indianapolis and Kansas City in 2025.
