Obscure Football Championship Updates
As the traditional football season kicks off in the next two months, there are some indoor, semi-pro and European leagues which are wrapping up their seasons with championship games. Let's take a look at the teams which have been crowned as champions in their leagues.
The Columbus Lions from Columbus, Georgia claimed the championship in the lower-tier American Indoor Football Assocation (AIFA) dominating the league. The Lions dominated the Mississippi Raiders 55-10 in front of 4,500 home fans to complete a perfect undefeated season. Quarterback Marcus Brooks led the way for the Lions as he accounted for six touchdowns with five through the air and one on the ground. Columbus moved from the National Arena League (NAL) to the AIFA this season. The Lions should really play in a more competitive league.
