Gridiron Developmental Football League Starts 2023 Season

The Gridiron Developmental Football League (GDFL) kicked off their 14th season over the weekend with 32 teams across the United States.  The GDFL is a low-level organized semi-pro football league which plays during the summer.

The GDFL plays a playoff format similar to the NCAA as division winners make the playoffs plus at-large qualifiers.  The finalists meet in the Gridiron Bowl.  This year's Gridiron Bowl will be hosted in Atlanta, Georgia at nearby Central Gwinnett High School during Labor Day weekend.

The Syracuse Strong are the defending GDFL champions.
