Toronto Six wins first Isobel Cup Championship


Tereza Vanišová scored at 4:23 of the three-on-three extra period to give the Toronto Six a thrilling 4-3 victory over the Minnesota Whitecaps in the championship game of the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF).  The game was played at Mullett Arena in Tempe, Arizona. 

The Six finished second in the regular season standings and became the first Canadian team to win the Isobel Cup.

With 91 seconds left in the second period, the Six were assessed a delay of game bench minor. That penalty allowed the Whitecaps to take a 3-2 lead 20 seconds into the third period as Jonna Albers scored on the power play. Natalie Snodgrass picked up her second assist of the game on the play.

Taylor Woods pulled the Six even at 3-3 at 7:56 of the third. Michela Cava picked up her second assist of the game on the goal.
