American Football Championships in Europe

The game of American football is played in many countries around the world.  Obviously, the sport isn't as popular as it is here, but the game has improved over the past several years.  Here's a list of the 2022 American football championships played in Europe:

Austria:  Danube Dragons 51, Dacia Vienna Vikings 29.  Danube wins first championship since 2010

Czech Republic:  Prague Lions 35, Vysocina Gladiators 29.  Prague won second title since 2019.

Denmark:  Copenhagen Towers 32, Sollerod Golddiggers 17.  Copenhagen wins second straight Mermaid Bowl and sixth title this decade.

European League of Football:  Vienna Vikings 27, Hamburg Sea Devils 15.  Vikings win championship in their first season.

Finland: Kuopio Steelers 21, Seinajoki Crocodiles 14.  Kuopio captures third straight Maple Bowl title.

France:  La Courneuve Flash 16, Thonon-les-bains Black Panthers 10.  La Courneuve wins 12th league title.

Germany:  Schwabisch Hall Unicorns 44, Pottsdam Royals 27.  Won in front of 9,000 fans at Frankfurt's Deutche Bank Park.  

Great Britain:  Manchester Titans 37, London Warriors 7.  Manchester wins first Brit Bowl title.

Holland:  Amsterdam Crusaders 50, 010 Trojans 0.  Crusaders wins 21st league title.

Hungary:  Fehervar Enthroners 31, Budapest Wolves 24.  Enthroners completed a 16-0 undefeated season.

Ireland:  University College Dublin 52, Dublin Rebels 24.  University College Dublin wins first title.

Italy:  Firenze Guelfi 21, Milano Seamen 17.  Firenze wins first league title and avenges loss to Milano in 2019 Italian Bowl.

Norway:  Eidsvoll 1814s 35, Oslo Vikings 28.  Eidsvoll upset heavily favored Oslo to win title.

Poland:  Bialystok Lowlanders 21, Krakow Kings 20.  Lowlanders upset Kings for the title.

Portugal:  Cascais Crusaders 36, Lisboa Devils 20.  Cascais win first title.

Serbia:  Vukovi Beograd 24, Kragujevac Wild Boars 17.  Vukovi wins third straight Serbian title.

Spain:  Osos Rivas 28, Las Rozas Black Demons 12.  Osos went undefeated and wins first title since 2001.

Sweden:  Stockholm Mean Machines 52, Orebro Black Knights 8.  Stockholm dominated the regular season and won Swedish championship.

Switzerland:  Bern Grizzlies 26, Calanda Broncos 22.  Bern scored 12 points in final quarter to upset Calanda and win first title since 2016. 

Romania:  Bucharest Rebels 48, Mures Monsters 28.  Bucharest wins third straight title.

Turkey:  Borzazici Sultans 17, Koc Istnabul Rams 14.  Sultans won a tight game to regain Turkish title.
