Unicorns Notch 10th German Bowl Title

The Schwabisch Hall Unicorns won their 10th German Bowl XLIII title by defeating the Potsdam Royals 44-27 in front of over 9,000 fans in Frankfurt. The Unicorns finished the season with a perfect 13-0 record. This was the first title for the Unicorns since 2018 after coming up short in the past two German Bowl games.

The Unicorns pulled away for good with eight minutes left in the game when Robert Patterson scored to extend the lead to 37-27. Later, quarterback Reilly Hennessy threw his third touchdown of the game when he connected with Arieus Minton with less than a minute left to seal the win 44-27.

Hennessey was the game’s most valuable player with five touchdowns - three passes and two rushes for scores.

After completing a perfect 10-0 regular season, the Unicorns defeated Berlin Adler in the quarterfinals (35-21) and Allgau Comets in the semifinals (33-8).

The Unicorns were founded in 1983 and has been one of the league's more successful teams. They have not lost a regular season game since 2013.
