Frankfurt Galaxy Wins European "Super Bowl" Title
They don't officially call it the "Super Bowl" but the European League of Football (ELF) completed its inaugural season with a thrilling 32-30 win by the Frankfurt Galaxy over the Hamburg Sea Devils in the championship game on Sunday in front of over 20,000 fans.
The game came down the final play as Hamburg Kicker Phillip Friis Andersen came up short on a 62-yard field goal attempt.
Frankfurt Galaxy Quarterback Jakeb Sullivan was the game's Most Valuable Player for his role in bringing the Galaxy back in the fourth quarter from a 30-20 deficit. He scored from the Sea Devil 1-yard line with less than a minute left to give them the go-ahead score. He finished the game with 311 yards and four touchdowns.
